Supplying the shipping indusrty since 1977
When MES was formed in 1977, its main business activity was the supply of spare parts such as radar magnetrons, aerials, paper rolls, fuses, lamps etc to enable radio officers to maintain the on board electronic equipment.
With the introduction of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), the requirement for ships to carry out their own maintenance ceased.
However, MES has continued to provide spare parts such as paper rolls, aerial and magnetrons to ships.
MES also has a service department and provides SHORE BASED MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS for many shipping lines.
MES technicians carry out repairs on the following makes of
